The Armes Movie Factory is a Seattle-based film development and production company aimed at producing feature films that honor classic film genres and Hollywood filmmaking techniques.
Started in 2015 by American Film Institute alumnus Brian W. Armes, the Armes Movie Factory’s mission is to produce feature films of recognizable genres. The Movie Factory plans for development, pre-production, and production to be based in the Pacific Northwest. With a passion for education, emphasis will be given toward employing younger filmmakers, fresh from college and graduate programs.
Our first feature, a period adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth was produced in 2017 and continues through post-production. The film was shot in various locations throughout Northeast Georgia, including production days in Stephens, Watkinsville, Oakwood, Helen, and Cumming. Cast and crew featured a number of actors from Atlanta and Athens as well as students and recent alumni from the University of North Georgia and the University of Georgia.
